!!!IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!!

On August 08th 2010 at 3:30 PM that afternoon a white or silver late model Jeep Grand Cherokee pulled over a guest before the intersection of Elmwood Drive and Evergreen Road shortly after Colonial Terrace. This vehicle did not have any security or police markings, but did have flashing blue lights in the grill. The suspect used his vehicle to block the victim’s car after they pulled over. A white male of medium build and a height of 6 foot or better wearing a police/security officer style uniform dark blue in color, including an emblem/shield approached the guest asking for I.D. and gate pass. The unidentified subject had a belt with gun and handcuffs similar to an officer. He wore mirrored aviation sun glasses and was clean shaven and wore his cologne heavy. The suspect had short hair with a widow’s peak. For a male of this size he had small hands and bit his fingernails down.

This suspect was neither IMLCA SECURITY nor a POLICE OFFICER. The unidentified subject, after seeing the victim’s child in the vehicle, returned their documentation and left the scene. The Pocono Mountain Regional Police are taking this very seriously.

Please be aware that both Intrepid Security and police patrol vehicles are clearly marked and have light bars on top of the vehicle and sirens. If you are approached by any vehicle that appears to be trying to stop you and you are uncomfortable stopping for them, proceed at a safe speed with your flashers on to one of the gates or to a public area with other people around. If you feel something is truly wrong or highly suspicious call 911.

We need volunteers for the Social Committee.  As of right now we have only two members.  This has forced the committee to cancel up coming events such as BBQ and a Movie and if we don't get volunteers to step up to the plate we could further down the road lose members favorites like the Halloween Party and Breakfast with Santa.  Please we need your help!  Contact the IMLCA Office and volunteer for the Social Committee!

We are currently having Adult Horse Shoes.  If you're interested and want to show your skills tossing ringers and bragging rights on beating your neighbors then see Jean Jefferson at Twin Lake Wednesdays at 7:00 PM and let the competition begin!

Don't forget lunch is served Monday through Friday at the IMLCA clubhouse from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM.  This is a good way to get a tasty and affordable meal and meet your neighbors.

Game room hours for the summer season are Monday through Thursday 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Friday and Saturday 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Please No Smoking on IMLCA amenities.  We been exceptionally dry this year and have been in Red Flag Warnings and No Burning Conditions.  Please properly extinguish all smoking material properly.  If you must smoke please go out to the parking areas or designated smoking areas away from small children who running around and a way from dry grasses.  Also when using the amenities please remember to dispose of any trash or debris properly out of courtesy to all the members using the facilities.

Also remember for recreation and other activities in the community check out the Marquees at the entrances of the community.  Information can also be found at the mailboxes in the overhead bulletin boards and on the office bulletin board.  At the office you can also find information about articles for sale, services rendered like mowing, pet sitting, baby sitting, tutoring etc.  Maps of the community can also be obtained at the IMLCA Clubhouse.

We had some vandalism occur in the area of Claremont, Lower Notch, Lookout and Colonial involving graffiti.  There is a $500 reward for information leading to the conviction of those responsible.  We also highly encourage members to keep an eye out for any suspicious activity and to report it to Security immediately.  We also ask that you keep an eye on the home of neighbors who are not permanent residents.  The number for Intrepid Security Dispatch is 1-800-587-1980.

For the nature lovers among us there is a Walking Trail at the end of Clubhouse Road.  It is a lovely area but rather wild so it is recommended that you wear long pants and closed shoes when hiking.

Unfortunately Main Lake is closed for the season due to high E-coli concentrations.  We are working with experts to try to bring the levels down and deal with the causes.
